Our Gulet “Il Doge”

Il Doge is a traditional Turkish gulet (from the French golette meaning schooner) an ancient hull form which has remained more or less unchanged for millennia.

She has 4 en-suite double cabins (each bathroom has a toilet, wash basin and shower), an espresso machine a hammock in the shade and over 30M² of upholstered sun deck

A picture of our traditional wooden gulet "il Doge" under sail - we don't keep our sails in their bags! Unlike most gulet skippers who keep their sails firmly tidied away in their sail bags, ours doesn't! You will be invited to help with all aspects of the handling of the ship, from steering and sail setting to mooring and navigation. Of course you can always just kick back, relax and take in the scenery.

Because of our stable summer weather patterns, expect lazy mornings wandering around sleepy, postcard fishing harbours, sipping Greek coffee with the locals, then heading out to a nearby bay or beach for a spot of swimming, snorkeling, fishing, or, new for this year, water skiing/wakeboarding!
We'll have lunch onboard just in time to pull up the anchor and hoist the sails to catch the afternoon breeze to take us in near silence to our next evening stop

Trips

Here are a few examples of routes we can follow depending on how many days you are on board, what sort of places you like and of course weather conditions

Trip 1 The Sea Park (4 days, 3 nights)
A quiet cruise in calm, protected waters taking in the islands of Kalamos, Kastos, Meganissi and Skorpios.

Trip 2 The Odyssey of Myths and History (6 days, 7 nights)
On this trip we go further afield and head south to travel in the wake of Odysseus to the islands of Ithaca, and Cefallonia, then heading north via Kastos / Kalamos to Meganissi before returning to Levkas after a stop at Skorpios.

Trip 3 Seven Islands in Seven Days (8 days 7 nights)
The world is our oyster on this one. We'll visit Meganissi, Cephallonia, Ithaca, Skorpios, Kastos, Kalamos and the south coast of Levkas, not necessarily in that order.
